What happens if it rains?
We still go out. The rain is of no consequence; we are concerned with wind and sea conditions and they are not necessarily bad during the rain. In fact, some of our best conditions can be on a rainy day, so dress appropriately. In the case of severe weather, we may cancel the activity up to an hour before the start time in which case you will be allowed to reschedule (subject to availability) or receive credit for a future event or 100% refund. Beware of any guide that takes you out in unsafe weather conditions. Captain Terry will not jeopardize his crew and your safety for any reason.
Are children allowed?
We love children, and encourage children of all ages to fish with us! Captain Terry offers charters tailored to junior anglers to introduce our next generation of anglers to one of the best sports on the water.
What do you supply?
USCG Licensed Captain, boat, deckhand, Fuel, Fishing licenses, rods, reels, tackle, artificial bait (Live Bait Extra) cooler, ice, bottled water and offer lite snacks on board.
What should we bring?
You are welcome to bring any food or drink that you would like for your trip duration. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen (Sunscreens PABA Free) hats, and sunglasses.
Can I bring alcohol on the boat?
Yes! no glass bottles or red wine please.
What if I catch a really big fish?
We have a great local taxidermist here in town, and they do fantastic work. If you catch a big one, tell your mate you want to mount it, and they will be happy to help you set everything up with the taxidermist.
What do I see when I'm not fishing?
When we’re not fishing, you’ll enjoy the stunning Southern Florida coastline, birds, dolphins, breaking fish, other fishing and sail boats, depending on the day, conditions and season.
How do I prevent seasickness?
Take Dramamine the night before your trip, when you go to bed and the morning of your trip after having something light to eat for breakfast.
Are the fish edible?
Some of the fish you are likely to catch are edible, and yours to keep. Generally, if the fish are not edible, we release it, or use it for bait.
Do I need any fishing experience?
No, we guide you through every step and technique. We have many people who have never fished a day in their life and they leave with a new understanding and an unforgettable experience.
Is the trip suitable for pregnant women?
While we don’t put a limitation on who may or may not attend, pregnant women should always consult with their doctors before participating in any active activities.
What is the difference between 1/2 day, 3/4 day and the full day fishing trip?
During our 4-hour half day trips, we fish closest to the shore and target Kingfish, Wahoo, Sharks, Sailfish and more.
Our 6-hour 3/4 day trips give us that little extra time to try 2 or 3 different types of fishing. We can start out trolling the reef and have plenty of time to switch over to kite fishing for sailfish or go offshore for excellent tasting Blackfin tuna or Mahi-Mahi.
Our full day, 8-hour trips pursue a wide range of saltwater fish while switching from trolling to kite fishing or just going way offshore looking for Big Game fish, blue or white marlin, and even that once-in-a-lifetime trophy! The possibilities are endless in South Florida.
Why do I have to sign a liability waiver?
Due to safety reasons associated with being out on the open ocean, we require everyone to sign a liability waiver prior to boarding.
Can I sell the fish I catch?
NO! It is illegal to sell fish that are caught by way of “Recreational Sport Fishing.”
Are gift certificates available for the Blue Safari trips?

Do you offer customized private charters?
Yes! Our special events can include corporate or company events, holiday parties, birthday parties, church gatherings, Junior Angler events, Funerals at sea, or anything else you desire. To inquire more, please click on the “Contact BlueSafari” link to left.
